A ticked “Conditions of Venue Hire” in the Venue Hire form is conclusive evidence that the Hirer accepts these conditions of hire.
The Venue must be vacated on time as the Venue may be booked multiple times in one day.
The Venue Hire Coordinator may cancel the booking by written notice to the Hirer at any time before the date of hire if the Venue Hire Coordinator becomes aware that any event, good or service proposed to be held or provided by the Hirer is objectionable, dangerous, is prohibited by law or would be otherwise detrimental to MHPG.
The Hirer must leave the venue in a clean and tidy condition, with all equipment and toys stored in their correct locations. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to vacuum, mop floors, and wipe down bench tops, tables and surfaces. The kitchen and toilet bins need to be emptied, dishes in the kitchen washed and placed back into the cupboards, and high chairs wiped down if used. If the outside dining area has been used, please ensure the table and benches are wiped down and the paving is swept.
Damage to any Mount Hawthorn Playgroup property must be paid for by any person/s who wilfully and negligently caused such damage.
The Hirer is liable to pay to Mount Hawthorn Playgroup the full cost of repairing any damage caused to the Venue, its facilities and any other property owned by Mount Hawthorn Playgroup.
If any damages to the building or property occur detailed notes and photographs must be taken by the Hirer. If damages are likely to affect the security of the building or safety of any person using the Venue or the surrounding area, the Venue Hire Coordinator must be notified (contact details for the Venue Hire Coordinator can be found in the email sent confirming your booking).
Should damage occur, the Venue Hire Coordinator's assessment is final.
Should the Hirer lose the keys and replacement keys or locks are necessary, liability for this cost will rest with the Hirer.
Responsibility for dependent children and guests must be borne by the Hirer.
There is strictly NO SMOKING inside and outside of the building or property.
Alcohol is permitted, however the Hirer must ensure responsible service. It is an offence to serve alcohol to anyone under 18 years of age and any sale of alcohol is prohibited.
Mount Hawthorn Playgroup accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to the property of the Hirer or any third party. All personal belongings must be removed on the day of booking.
The Hirer indemnifies and releases Mount Hawthorn Playgroup from:
Any accident, damage, loss or injury to any person or property arising from the use of the Mount Hawthorn Playgroup Centre;
Any loss, damage or costs suffered by Mount Hawthorn Playgroup from any default or breach of this Agreement by the Hirer.
The Playgroup is a NUT FREE venue. Please do not bring food containing nuts to the centre.
Please do not use tape or blu-tac on the painted walls. Use the hooks placed around the room, or scotch tape for any decorations.
Casual leasing liability insurance is held by Mount Hawthorn Playgroup. Please be aware that there is a $500 excess that you will have to pay in the event of a claim. The Playgroup will not be held responsible for any damage to property or personal injuries sustained at the party.
Toys can be found in the cupboards inside the venue and the outdoor sheds. There is a venue map in the Information Pack which indicates where the different toys are located. Please return them to the correct spot before you leave. Hirers are welcome to use the toys, however we ask that you do not use the craft items as these are funded by members for playgroup use.
We have a fully stocked kitchen, glasses are in wall cabinets, utensils and glad wrap/bin liners are in drawers. All other party crockery, plasticware and serving platters are located in lower cupboards.
Hirers must leave the venue in a clean and tidy condition, with all equipment and toys stored in their correct locations. The kitchen and toilet should both have the bins emptied, and dishes in the kitchen washed and placed back into the cupboards.
It is the responsibility of our Hirers to vacuum, mop floors, and wipe down bench tops, tables and surfaces. If high chairs have been used, wipe these down also.
If the outside dining area has been used, please ensure the table and benches are wiped down and the paving is swept.
Refer to the table in the Venue Hire Information Pack for the location of cleaning items.
Remove all food from the fridge and place rubbish in the council bins. These are located in the alley past the front entrance.
