The Mount Hawthorn Playgroup year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Membership fees are calculated on a pro-rata schedule based on the number of days remaining in the membership year. Please note that once paid, membership fees are non-refundable.
The fees pay for the lease of the premises, maintenance, running costs, cleaning services and purchasing of supplies, crafts and toys.
All Mount Hawthorn Playgroup Members must be a member of Playgroup WA - but commencing 2025, Playgroup WA will launch their own membership system and members will need to pay their fee to PGWA directly. We will provide members with more information on this when the system launches in March 2025. Playgroup WA membership provides full insurance coverage while at the centre, access to help and support from the members hotline and invitations to Playgroup WA events and play days. If you have a reasonable request for part-time membership (i.e. you are moving in 6 months), please discuss with the membership officer (mhpgmembership@gmail.com).

Playgroup Fee
Playgroup fees cover the cost of running the centre
Playgroup WA (PGWA) Membership Fee
PGWA membership is a requirement for joining our playgroup. It provides your insurance cover while you are attending the centre. NOTE: From 2025, this will need to be paid directly to PGWA when their new PGWA membership system launches in March.
Concession Discount
Both the playgroup membership fees and Playgroup WA (PGWA) fees are discounted by 50% for concession card holders
Committee Discount
As a gesture of thanks, playgroup fees are waivered for committee members in recognition of the time they give to serve on the committee
